리셋터즈는 2018년에 결성된 한국의 유일무이한 보스 레게 밴드로, 1969년 보스 레게의 전통적인 사운드를 현대적인 팝 음악으로 재해석하는 독특한 스타일을 지니고 있다. 그들은 고전적인 오르간 사운드와 리듬을 현대적인 해석으로 풀어내며, 한국적인 정서와 음악적 색깔을 잘 반영하고 있다.

리셋터즈는 첫 번째 앨범 '내사랑은 최전방에'와 두 번째 앨범 '1집 깁미 어 블루비트', 그리고 싱글 '고양이'를 발매하며 보스 레게 장르의 현대적인 변화를 선도하고 있다. 그들의 첫 정규 앨범은 동양표준음향사와 미국 시카고의 레게/스카 레이블 JumpUp Records와 협력하여 전 세계에 배급되었으며, 이는 리셋터즈가 글로벌 음악 씬에서 확고한 입지를 다지는 중요한 전환점이 되었다.

또한, 리셋터즈는 2018년부터 이어진 활동을 통해 영국의 전설적인 스카/레게 뮤지션 Gaz Mayall과 함께 일본 Japonicus 주최로 열린 'Gaz Rocking Blues 35주년 기념 투어'에 초청되어 일본 투어를 성공적으로 마쳤고. 이 경험은 리셋터즈가 국제적인 무대에서도 인정받는 계기가 되었습니다. 자메이카에서 태어나 영국으로 넘어간 레게 사운드에 한국 특유의 정서를 잘 녹여낸 리셋터즈는 서울의 언더그라운드 음악 씬에서 온, 진짜 언더그라운드의 사운드를 담아 낸 레게 밴드이다.

The Reseters (Korea)
The Reseters were formed in 2018. They are Korea's only Boss Reggae band and deeply influenced by legendary 60’s bands like Toots and The Maytals, Harry J All Stars, Dave and Ansel Collins, The Melodians. And they follow the sound of the UK’s 2-Tone ska bands, The Reseters bring you a vintage, analog sound that touches the hearts of old-school reggae fans.

With the lead vocalist and guitarist Janghyeop Kim, the band is made up of Seonghyeon Jo(drummer), Byeonghu Kim(guitarist), Claire J(keyboardist) and Akhee Ahn(bassist). So far they have released one full-length album, two singles and an EP. They have also worked with Korea’s well-known label Eastern Standard Sounds, where they released an album and a single. This year, their first vinyl record album was released worldwide through JumpUp Records in Chicago, gaining international attention. In August 2024, they successfully completed a Japan tour with the legendary UK musician Gaz Mayall.

With the charismatic presence of frontman Janghyeop Kim, The Reseters bring the spirit of Boss Reggae to audiences worldwide, crafting a unique sound that is rebuilding the history of reggae music. Their music is rooted in the 1969 Boss Reggae style, and put a new spin on classic reggae with a modern sensibility. They left a lasting impression on reggae fans both domestically and internationally while positioning their status as new pioneers in the genre.
